Meet your Coach

Howdy Y'all!  My name is Rick. I have been a full-time trainer since 2010. My job as your trainer is to help you achieve your goals and teach you how to keep making progress long-term.

I work with clients from all walks of life. My coaching philosophy is inclusive, body positive, and nutritionally neutral.  My specialties include Strength Training, Adaptive Programs for Neurodiverse people, and Gender-Affirming exercise plans.

Certifications & Career

I am a certified & insured Personal Trainer. I hold several certifications including ISSA Personal Trainer & Fitness Nutrition Specialist, Precision Nutrition, as-well-as holding over 2-dozen other specialty certifications. I have been a trainer & coach full-time since 2010 and have trained hundreds of clients. I also have coached award-winning athletes across several sports.

Coaching Achievments

Since 2016 I have been coaching athletes in Powerlifting, Bodybuilding, and Bikini.  Our team over the years has produced dozens of State Lifting Records, best lifter awards, and Pro-Cards.  Prior to 2016 I coached OCR and Olympic Weightlifting, and was a strength & conditioning coach for timber sport athletes.

Personal Athletics

I currently hold several NC Men's State Records in Powerlifting; USPA DT Open Bench Press (75kg Class), USPA DT Submaster S/B/D/T (75kg Class).  I have competed at DT Nationals and Worlds (Silver Medal).  Aside from Powerlifting, I have competed in OddLift-Strongman competitions, Olympic Weightlifting, Crossfit, and Obstacle Course Racing, even finishing at the World's Toughest Mudder in 2011.
